At Fitchitt & Benedict we have adopted three different methods of pricing from which our customers may select:
Bill by the hour
The first is the traditional method of billing by the hour. We are trying to move away from this type of billing as it transfers the risk of how efficient we are into the hands of our customers. We don’t want our customers dreading our billing as it comes in the mail. However, this type of billing may be appropriate when a lawsuit, divorce or negotiation is involved, because we have no control over the time it may take.
Fixed fee
Some of our clients prefer a fixed-fee proposal, using this method: We define the projects up front and create a price specific to each client’s needs. The client enjoys knowing the cost at the beginning. This also transfers the responsibility onto us to complete the project as efficiently as possible.
Fixed monthly agreement
The third method is a fixed monthly agreement. The customer defines the services they determine are of value to their business. We work jointly with the customer to arrive at a fixed monthly price for this bundle of services. The customer pays the regular monthly fee and receives all the services defined in the agreement without worry of how long it will take us or how to pay for the large year-end accounting bill. This method is extremely beneficial when we are working with others in your company. They will feel free to give us a call without worrying about how much it will cost. We also benefit because the more we communicate, the better we understand your company, and the better we may service your needs.
