In recent years, the demand for business valuations has grown dramatically. Who uses them? Business owners, attorneys, judges, investment bankers, financial and estate planners and commercial bankers. The business valuation profession has also evolved due to increased demand from buyers and sellers of closely held businesses, merger and acquisition activity, estate and gift tax disputes, divorce settlements and family business succession planning.
Recognizing the increased involvement of CPAs in this process, in 1996 the AICPA established the ABV designation (Accredited in Business Valuation). The ABV accreditation is granted exclusively to CPAs who demonstrate their business valuation expertise and professional experience. Bill Fitchitt and Susan Benedict both met the requirements to earn the designation. In fact, Bill was among the first group of CPAs to earn the ABV Accreditation.
We work together with you to provide the valuation that meets your specific requirements. That may mean a calculation analysis resulting in an indicated range of value, or a valuation analysis resulting in a detailed report communicating a conclusion of value.
